Fall: Research, Campus Visits, and Interviews

September–December

Fall is the perfect season to explore your options, tour campuses, and get a true sense of each school’s culture.

Research Independent Schools

Start by creating a list of schools that match your student’s needs—academics, arts, athletics, robotics, student leadership, or a close-knit community. Review school websites, check Niche.com and Admission.org, and consider a local educational consultant if you want added insight.

Visit Campus

During your visit, observe:

• Classroom engagement
• Teacher-student connections
• Student life and extracurricular opportunities
• The overall feel of the community

Pro Tip: Older students could wear slightly more formal attire than everyday school clothes to help set a positive tone.

Interview Preparation
